I have no clue how RAM configuration would cause display flickering, so I'm not sure why you'd state that. HDMI support has been added since for G-sync, but in general you should use displayport by default. AMD figured out back when G-sync came out that most monitor's controllers have sufficient processing headroom to do it natively over displayport or hdmi. Not every listing provides that information, so sometimes you have to look it up externally.įreesync isn't an AMD exclusive product (note the 'free' part) since it works with Intel from launch and now Nvidia, G-sync started as a proprietary hardware requirement that's become more flexible since about 2016. From what I found in google its best to enable G-Sync in full screen mode, enable VSync in the NVidia panel, disable VSync ingame and limit max fps to around Max Monitor Refresh Rate - 3 FPS.īut what happen when I disable G-Sync in the Nvidia panel? Does the monitor switch to a Freesync mode or both are disabled with the NVidia card? Is there a case when its better to have disable both or its always best to keep them enabled?
